Talent Management’s philosophy is to provide our clients with a totally integrated, affordable talent management solution that’s simple and easy to use. Our “built from scratch” Talent Snapshot solution was designed to take the guesswork out of talent management for small to mid-size clients, and at the same time provide them with rich, research-based, validated content.
Our mission to “Developing People for Outstanding Results” has been put into practice by identifying and using each member’s competencies, talents and strengths to manage our business and provide the most benefit to Talent Management LLC’s ongoing operations.
Jackie Messersmith, President
The person who runs the business, makes sure the puzzle pieces fit together and that the train runs on time is Jackie. Jackie effectively led many workflow improvement projects for 18 years while President of Workflow Dynamics, and as a partner has applied that expertise to Talent Management. Her career has been devoted to increasing profitability, productivity, workforce satisfaction and ultimately growth for clients. She developed Workflow’s exclusive 5-step process improvement system IDEAS… for change®, utilizing practices from Lean, Six Sigma, Baldrige, and TQM, to ensure the promised results become a reality, not just another report on the shelf. Previously, she managed a $1M facility operation for a local manufacturer, with responsibility for managing multiple vendors who provided goods and services to the organization.
Jackie is professionally affiliated with the Authentic Leadership, Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development and The Circuit, and was a past board member of International Facility Manager’s Association.
She has served as an examiner for the Small Business of the Year Baldrige awards, and has spoken at a NCA Higher Learning Conference in Chicago and the Association for Health Care Administrators in Columbus. Jackie conducted a one-day pre-conference workshop entitled “Work…Force, Place and Flow” featuring IDEAS… for change®, at the Ohio Partnership for Excellence Quest for Success annual conference. She also has participated in a panel discussion of the Leadership Forum, “The Straight & Narrow: Upholding Business Ethics in a Work-A-Day World.”
Jackie’s work has been featured in Total Quality: Management, Organization, and Strategy, by Dr. James Evans, University of Cincinnati. Her article entitled, “Bringing people, processes and the workplace together for high performing work environments” has appeared in an issue of the International Facility Management Journal and The Journal of Leadership and Management in Engineering. The Cincinnati Business Courier has published her article entitled, “New Wave of Thinking of Business Processes.”
Recently, her article “Why Competency-Based Talent Management Matters” was featured in HRInsights magazine.
Mike Meszaros, V.P. of Marketing and IT Infrastructure
The guard dog, the one who considers all angles of Talent Management’s business relationships and reputation is Mike. As a business partner, Mike has lent his expertise in SaaS development, web design and software project management to the development of Talent Snapshot. Mike’s extensive experience in process management led to the creation of his business, PPC Communications, in 1998. PPC Communications began with a focus on print media, encompassing corporate identities, marketing collateral, and advertising products. In 2003, PPC expanded its scope to include Internet marketing, web design, and web hosting. PPC products and services deliver cutting edge innovations that help to improve communications, strengthen business, and promote return on investment while enhancing customer service.
In 2007, Mike took his company to yet another level with the development of his own scheduling and management software, the eSoft Planner. eSoft Planner allows businesses to simplify their business practices while increasing revenue, and growing steadily. By working closely with business owners in a variety of industries, Mike was able to learn what processes could be compiled and automated in order to offer a software that allows customers, managers and owners to conduct business effectively online.
Mike is a graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He is the owner/operator of PPC Communications, and DNA Sports Center. Mike is committed to providing technologies and services that help strengthen businesses by improving communications and developing marketing strategies.
Karin Wilken, Director, Talent Management Solutions
Karin is our practice guide and coach to our clients. She has been in Talent Management for the past 19 years (and previously in business management consulting for 14 years). Karin has a unique knowledge base and perspective having spent her career in both smaller entrepreneurial and larger corporate environments, across a broad spectrum of industries. In the last 15 years, Karin has held roles in both tactical and strategic areas of HR and Talent Management, with a particular focus on Performance Management, Talent Acquisition and Retention, Organizational and Employee Development, and Training. She understands how critically Talent Management not only affects the employee but business results as well.
Karin can quickly take a client’s organizational structure, job descriptions, and business goals (no matter how rough) and customize our Talent Snapshot® system to synch with their performance management needs. She prides herself on an efficient, professional, and consultative approach when dealing with clients. Certified as a Human Capital Strategist (HCS) and Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC), she also has a Process Mastery certification and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to Performance Management, she can provide guidance on recruitment and retention strategies, training, career development, job coaching, and other talent management areas.
History: After a number of years traveling as a business management consultant and trainer, Karin moved into a talent acquisition role in 1996 with a local Executive Search firm. She earned her CPC in 1999 and continued to successfully run a practice until she decided to broaden her talent management perspective. Focusing on IT, engineering, and manufacturing talent at first, she later focused more on overall corporate TM process development, performance management, training, development, and retention. In 2006, she joined a growing material handling engineering and manufacturing organization to establish their talent acquisition and development program. She became a full HR Director in 2007 covering 560 employees, which later grew to 1800 employees. She then earned her HCS, and focused more on their corporate performance management, training, development, and talent acquisition strategies and processes. Late in 2011, Karin decided to go back into a more entrepreneurial environment and joined a successful executive search firm managing their recruitment and organizational development. In 2013, wishing to share her knowledge and expertise in a wider market, she became a Talent Management Consultant.
